Vilarisi Hotel ★★★ $14 avg/night
Jalan Melasti / Lebak Bena 15x Legian, Kuta, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Vilarisi Hotel

Location: The Vilarisi hotel is average ideally located near the nightlife discos of Kuta, 10 min from the beach and about half an hour away from Kuta Square. The hotel does overlook a very busy road and suffers from road noise both day and night, so best to try and get a room two or three floors up. Although the hotel is rather dated, the rooms are adequate with basic amenities such as air conditioning, and TV and the toilet was clean with good pressure for both hot and cold water. WiFi is only accessible in the lobby or the restaurant. Not a glamorous style, but with a good location, a good value for money.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Vilarisi Hotel: “We do not interfere should our guests wish to invite their friends to stay over with them but we will definitely ask for their ID Cards in order to have the record based on the above policy. Should your room already include 2 pax then no additional charge applies, but the next person will be charged accordingly. For Superior and Deluxe room books from Agoda are usually already included for 2 guests.”

Dewi Sri Hotel ★★ $29 avg/night
Jl. Legian, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Dewi Sri Hotel

Location: The Dewi Sri Hote has conveniently located just a 100-meter stroll through an alley that takes you to the heart of the action with the best bars and clubs that Kuta/Legian has to offer. From here the beach can be reached by a 10 – 15 minute walk through Poppies 2 Lane. The hotel is made up of two parts with the old building housing the old rooms and the newer building the Deluxe accommodation. The standard rooms are basic and clean and although they have everything you could need for the small price difference the Deluxe are well worth the extra. The rooms are far bigger and more modern with great bathroom facilities. The resort has a super swimming pool area with a swim-up bar that is open 24 hours and they have some really good 2-for-1 special offers during the day.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Dewi Sri Hotel: “Your local friend just leave her original ID card at security. Regards, Noni.”

Royal Tunjung Bali Resort ★★★★ $36 avg/night
Jl. Padma Utara, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Royal Tunjung Bali Resort

Location: The Royal Tunjung Bali Resort is a set of 7 villas located in a lovely quiet part of Legian, just 5 minute walk from the beach and with restaurants and bars in proximity. The bedroom villa where I stayed was large and airy with the kitchen and living area downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. The kitchen was perfectly adequate for basic needs with a bench, sink, refrigerator, and tea/coffee-making facilities, however, I doubt you would travel to Bali to cook. The bed and bedroom were comfortable and the entire place was spotless. With the swimming pool not the biggest but perfectly sized for this resort, the very well-kept gardens surrounding the villas, and the first staff class, this is a lovely place to stay.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Royal Tunjung Bali Resort: “Regarding your question it’s allowed if there is a guest joining you in your room, as long as she is not annoying us. Warm regards. Eko Widayanto.”

Niche Bali Hotel ★★★ $41 avg/night
JL. Legian 190, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Niche Bali Hotel

Location: The Niche Bali hotel sits right in the middle of the action opposite to Poppies 2 lane and in the middle of all the clubs and nightlife. The hotel is actually 100 meters up a small alleyway with security guards to greet you which is good as this shelters you from the noise of the main street. the beach is about 10 minute walk. The hotel has recently been renovated so everything is very clean. The Superior room I booked was very modern with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a DVD-playing facility, an iPhone/iPod docking station, an in-room safe, and a balcony with direct views of the pool and pool bar, next to the restaurant. The bathroom was a generous size with really good water pressure. A real plus was that the air conditioning stayed on even when you left the room so you were ensured of a nice cool room on your return.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Niche Bali Hotel: “In relation to bringing guests back to the hotel, there is no extra fee to be paid but all visitors must hand over their personal identification to our security on arrival at the hotel. This will be returned to them on departure.”

Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana Hotel ★★★★★ $102 avg/night
Jalan Melasti, Kuta / Tuban, Bali, Indonesia

Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana Hotel

Location: The Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana is set in the ideal location if you wish to explore by foot, with Legian and Kuta easily accessible, with the added bonus that the hotel also overlooks the quieter end of Kuta beach. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well furnished with comfortable king-size beds, flat-screen TV with an excellent choice of channels, and a quality, strong WiFi signal. Beautiful big bathroom and separate toilet. The rooms are cleaned twice daily although you are not disturbed at all. There are two swimming pools both with bars (although there is no swim-up facility), the main pool provides the perfect shade during the day and provides a good variety on the poolside menu, whereas the rooftop infinity pool overlooks the beach and the perfect spot to view the sunset.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana Hotel: “Further to your inquiry, please kindly advise the room rate is for 1 or 2 persons in the room, so it will not be a problem and no extra charge for 2nd person. Padma Resort Bali at Legian ★★★★★ $153 avg/night
Jl. Padma No 1, P.O. Box 1107 TBB, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Padma Resort Bali at Legian

Location: The Padma Resort Bali at Legian is located toward the end of Legian, right in front of one of the best beach spots in Bali. Convenient for nighttime activities with Jalan Double Six in Seminyak 10 min walk and the disco/bars of Kuta around a 20-minute walk (or a short taxi ride at night), this hotel also offers a good option of accommodation if you are looking for something that is within easy access of Legian & Seminyak, without having to deal with the craziness of Kuta. The standards in this resort are top-class, although not the cheapest as the rooms are over $200 per night. However, the Padma Resort Bali didn’t win Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2012 Winner in three categories for no reason! The rooms are beautifully maintained, and modern with every facility that you would expect from a five-star resort to ensure that you have a good time. The swimming pool is huge and the swim-up bars make the perfect place to relax and cool off during the day, and the grounds are meticulously kept and excellent if you feel like a stroll. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Padma Resort Bali at Legian: “Kindly be informed that our room rates is for single or double occupancy per room. We will charge for the additional 3rd person. If you would like to bring an unregistered guest to have overnight in your room please informed our reception as a report only for safety reasons.”

Bali Niksoma Boutique Beach Resort ★★★★ $163 avg/night
Jalan Padma Utara, Legian Kaja, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Bali Niksoma Boutique Beach Resort

Location: The Bali Niksoma Hotel is certainly not within all budgets as the rooms start at +200$ but for those who have planned to splurge on their trip it should be noted that this hotel has been awarded TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2012 for the Trendiest Hotels in Indonesia. Rightfully so, as this has a superb location right on the beach and within a few minutes walk of Jalan Double Six (think discos & girls). The spacious rooms are the ultimate in comfort with king sized bed, 42″ flat-screen TV with an amazing sound system, DVD player, in-room safe, refrigerator, free WiFi, and a superb verandah with spectacular beach views. The bathroom was fully equipped and of a good size. The bar and pool area has two great swimming pools and is furnished with plenty of lounge chairs that overlook the ocean. If you have been saving or money is not an issue then this would be the hotel I would recommend.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Bali Niksoma Hotel: “Our registered guest is allowed to bring a companion with him or her as long as the accompanying person is coming together with the registered guest, and not sent or escorted by someone outside the hotel. The ID card of this person is to be left at the Front Desk and to be taken when she or he is leaving the hotel.”

Villa De Daun Hotel ★★★★★ $230 avg/night
Jalan, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

Villa De Daun Hotel

Location: The Villa De Daun is fabulously located right in the middle of Kuta and Legian and within walking distance of everything, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the main road. On entering the complex you will feel as though you have stepped into your own paradise. The peace, luxury, and gorgeous gardens provide the perfect getaway. Of course, premium service does have a price but if you can justify 300$ a night you will be staying in the #1 Ranked establishment for specialty lodging in Kuta/Legian, as recommended by Tripadvisor. The villas are out of this world and furnished with comfortable king-sized beds, large flat-screen TV with their own surround sound system, and alfresco dining rooms with kitchens,s and a mini-bar that is restocked daily with all the complimentary refreshments you can think of. The bathrooms are simply perfect and crafted from stone. The real gem though has got to be the private 8mx3m swimming pool; oh and the butler who is on hand to take care of your every need. So for true five-star luxury, this would have to be the place.

Guest Friendly policy reply by The Villa De Daun Hotel: “There will be no extra charge as long the number of people stay based on the room capacity (2 people in one bedroom).”
