Updated for December 2019
Since Vietnam’s Capital Hanoi is one of the lesser known cities on the circuit, I decided to keep things as simple as possible for everyone and add only the guest friendly hotels of Hanoi that are centrally located around Hoan Kiem lake district in the old Quarter near the nightlife of the city. Keep in mind that since you are visiting a Communist country, Vietnamese hotels abide by must stricter rules than their Thai counterparts when it comes to foreigners sharing a room with local girls overnight. Just to give you an idea, out of the 160 hotels that I contacted in Hanoi only 50 responded favorably at bringing back a guest at no extra cost so please pick carefully and choose only from those off my list if you want to avoid any bad surprises.
I have personally taken the time to contact each and every single one of the establishments in my Hanoi Hotels list below to make sure their guest friendly policy is still in effect. You can check out the reply they provided with the hotels description.
