Ao Nang Guest Friendly Hotels

Location: The Green View Village Resort is set a little way back from the beach and main bar areas. 20 minute by walk or only few minute by free shuttle (from 9am to 8pm) or by tuk-tuk ride (cost about 40 baht). The resort offers exceptional surroundings, very well maintained with a variety of accommodation to fit to all budget. The most basic in the 20$ range are the fan bungalows for which you get a fan, mosquito net, cold shower, well furnished, clean and with good bathrooms. The Pool Villa room is 70$ and this comes with all the modern facilites that you would expect.

Location: Harvest House is a super little hotel similar to a Bed & Breakfast set on the main road near tourist spots, nightlife and massage centres. Local restaurants and beach just a short 10 minute walk down the hill. The rooms was clean, spacious and comfortable with large beds, good air conditioning, TV offering 50 channels, refridgerator, in room safe and free high speed WiFi. With really friendly, helpful staff and a nice atmosphere, the only draw backs was the little noise due passing traffic I hear in my room and there is here no swimming pool. Except that still a good place to stay.

Location: The Ao Nang Cliff View is set amidst a natural jungle with stunning Cliff Mountain views and just 5 – 10 minutes walk from the beach. The resort comprises of around 30 bungalows and the on site facilites include a nice swimming pool with great views, fully equipped gym and restaurant all located in the perfectly kept tropical gardens. The properties are of various price bands but all provide good value for money. My bungalow was spotless with a sparkling bathroom, a nice veranda with chairs, great hot water and no bugs in sight! This was thanks to the great screens that can open the whole room. The resort also provides a free shuttle car every hour which goes to the beach, shops or restaurants.

Location: The Luna house is a little further away from most of the other accommodation offered in Ao Nang and about 2km from the beach. Take 5 min by tuk-tuk ride (20 baht) or about 20 – 25 minutes by foot. Guest house is clean and everything is well kept. Each room offers air conditioning, satellite TV, refridegerator, free Wifi and in room safety deposit box. The private bathroom was immaculate. The bed was exceptional and I slept very well which is not always the case in a guest house. This is a really good option for those watching their budget and who are happy to use public/private transportation or don’t mind a walk to the beach.

Location: The Pranang Flora House is set up the hill near the centre of Ao Nang, short walk from centre town, just 10 – 15 minutes to the beach, and the bars and restaurants slightly closer. This is not the most elegant of hotels in Ao Nang but the rooms are well priced especially for the budget traveller and good value for money. They are large and clean with all the amenities needed with king sized bed, flat screen TV, refrdigerator, in room safe and free WiFI; plus clean bathroom with really good hot water pressure. This is not a noisy area and the staff are very friendly. All in all good value for money.

Location: The Ao Nang Cozy Place is a budget hotel that offers good facilities for the price. The rooms are clean and modern and equipped with flat screen TV, in room safe and a proper bathroom with good hot and cold water. Situated about 15 minutes walk from the beach, ideally suited to those who are looking for a base at minimal cost.

Location: The Blue Village is about 700 meters from the beach in a quiet part of Ao Nang. The gardens are well maintained and the cottages are nicely spread out so not to be on top of one another. The cottage I had was stunning with nice decor and immaculately clean. The rooms are very comfortable and all rooms, even the fan ones, offer TV, shower, in room safe and free WiFi. The resort also have free two way mini van transport if require. All in all this is really good value for money.

However, if you make a reservation for two guests per room. They can still share the room ovvernight with you without extra charges For guest’s own safety, unregistered guests will be asked to present their I.D. cards to our resort staff.”

Location: This hotel has an excelent location, directly opposite the secluded Nopparat Thara Beach at the far end of Ao Nang beach. Very peaceful at night but only a 5 minute walk to the strip with all the bars, nightlife and action. The boats to other islands are just 10 meters away so perfect for a day trip. My booked room (Seabreeze) was spacious with large comfortable bed, fully functioning air conditioning, LCD TV, mini refridgerator and free WiFi with a great connection. The bathroom was super with a rainfall shower with great pressure giving a really powerful shower. The hotel also offers two swimming pool, one of which has a swim up bar and is open from 10 am perfect to get in the holiday spirit!

Location: The Swiss Chalet Hotel is a short 10 minute walk from Ao Nang beach and about 5 minutes from Noppharat Beach. Whats more its only a 5 minute drive to the jetty so really handy if you are coming in by ferry from Phuket. The area is really tranquil and the guesthouse is amid the luxurious boutique hotels. The room was basic but really well kept and provided a large bed although a little hard for my liking, small refridgerator, big TV which had a few cable channels, great closet space, free WiFi and a lovely balcony. The bathroom was clean with a hot water shower but the pressure a little bite low. Overall nice hotel with friendly staff that speak a mix of English, Thai and German.

Location: The Aonang Orchid Resort is a perfectly located slightly set back from the road and within a minutes walk from everything, restaurants, beach, shops and bars, so you are not disturbed by noise. My superior room I booked in the low season was beautiful, clean and spacious offering comfortable beds, refridgerator, TV, large in roof safe (that I could fit a 17″ laptop in), and boiler with cups and tea and coffee. There was also a super balcony that overlooked the swimming pool which was the best pool I came across on my month long trip in Thailand. Nice place for 2000 Bath I payed for this resort but count twice price in high saison (by mid November).

Location: The Ao Nang Phu Pi Maan Resort & Spa is a stunning high end resort set in an enviromentally friendly area that has no traffic noise. The beach is 10 – 15 minutes but only 5 min by free two way hotel shuttle service to get you to the bars, beach or restaurants. The room and bathroom were very large with tasteful decor with a traditional Thai feel. The facilities in the room were excellent and included fully functioning air conditioning, 32″ flat screen TV, and a balcony that overlooked the pool and the mountains that characterize Ao Nang. The resort doesnt serve alcohol, however they have no problem with you stocking your fridge should you so wish.
