Girl Friendly Hotels Ho Chi Minh City (Updated 2023)

HCMC being the sprawling city it is, I decided to keep things simple for everyone and add only the girl-friendly hotels that are centrally located in District 1 close to the main freelance and bar girl action. Do keep in mind that since you are visiting a Communist country, Vietnamese hotels must abide by much stricter rules and normally won’t allow foreigners to bring back local girls overnight. Even those that do, will typically have you open an extra room for her which will quickly double your overall bill. Just to give you an idea, out of the 180 hotels that I contacted in HCMC only 30 responded favorably at bringing back a guest at no extra cost so please pick carefully and choose only one from those off my list if you don’t want any bad surprises.

I have personally taken the time to contact each and every single one of the establishments in my Ho Chi Minh City Hotels list below to make sure their guest-friendly policy is still in effect. You can check out the reply they provided with the hotel’s description.

Where is the action in Ho Chi Minh City?

The easiest way for visitors new to Saigon to hook up with sexy Vietnamese women would be to visit the Hai Ba Trung street hostess/billiard bars in District 1. They open around 7-8 PM and are hard to miss since as soon as you’ll walk past one of them, girls will suddenly appear on the sidewalk trying to drag you in. These bars are located at 35, 37, 49, 51 & 91 (91 being the best of the bunch), the names match the location so “51 bar” is in fact located at 51 Hai Ba Trung, and “91” will be at 91 Hai Ba Trung, etc. If you want to explore the a little more the area one block down Dong Khoi street you will find two more bars 29 (great customer service where anything goes) & 49. Last but not least are Quan Nho & Bin Bin bars on Le Thanh Ton street #13 (corner of Dong Khoi). Bin has the best selection and quality after 91 on Hai Ba Trung street. UPDATE: There has been a recent crackdown in bars in HBT so some in this list might not be opened anymore. 

Those looking for some Freelance girls can make their pick in some of the liveliest discos of Saigon: Apocalypse Now Club (an HCMC institution that has been around for 20 years now) & Lush (lots of FL around the bar & upstairs) are a great place to start with if you are new to the scene. The backpacker district also always has some working girls in popular joints like Go2 Bar after 10 PM. PS: Keep an eye out for taxi girls roaming around on motorbikes looking for single males, don’t worry they will find you.

But just what is an HCMC girl-friendly hotel?

A hotel in HCMC that is considered Girl Friendly, Guest Friendly, or Bargirl friendly simply means that the establishment will allow and won’t charge any extra to take back an unregistered guest up to your room. A joiner fee can cost anywhere around from 10 to 50$ a night but could be even higher depending on the hotel policy. Especially since Vietnamese hotels are much more strict due to Government restrictions than their Thai counterparts. While during the day you can twist away all you want, it’s really after 10 PM that things get complicated. Vietnamese Law requires a marriage certificate in order for a foreigner and a Vietnamese woman to share a room overnight so hotels in HCMC have to jump through a few extra hoops to circumvent this.
