Updated for December 2019
Boracay is a small and stunning tropical island located away from Manila about one hour flight. With beautiful white sand beaches and amazing views, Boracay is the great place for water sport lovers, wide range of activities by day and venture the nightlife spots at night.
But Boracay is obviously not on the scale of a Manila or Angeles. Don’t expect flashy neon lights showing you the way to any of the many strip clubs on the island, they don’t exist. Most active places are concentrated around popular clubs and disco bars: Cocomongas (9PM-10PM onwards in Station 1), Summer Place (11PM onwards in Station 2), Guilldy’s or Club Paraw. Girls for hire can also be seen along the Beach road at station 2 in various locations hiding in the dark and will approach you as you are walking past them. The island have also enough bar girls to keep you busy for a while.

Isla Gecko Resort ★★ $32 avg/night
Station 2, Balabag, Boracay Island, Station 2, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: The Isla Gecko is set in a peaceful residential area, only 3 minutes from the beach and not far from the nightlife and parties. Not 5-star, not even 3-star resort but the rooms were really clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. TV had a vast selection of channels and there was free WiFi internet in room. With staff and owner very friendly and helpful not a bad choice at all.
Guest Friendly policy reply by The Isla Gecko Resort: “Regarding your query, registered guest(s) can bring unregistered guest based on the maximum allowable of the room. Meaning if you get a standard room for two people than the maximum number of occupants is two.”
La Isla Bonita Resort ★★ $34 avg/night
Beach Front, Station 3, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: La Isla Bonita Hotel is a budget hotel between the Crown Regency and Sands Hotel on station 3 and it is one of the least expensive hotels on White Beach. For 25 – 50$ dependent on the season you get a good sized basic room with air conditioning, refridgerator, safe and cable TV. The fan rooms are even cheaper but don’t have the fridge for your drinks, safe or TV. The only disappointment is that the shower pressure was a little low and the bedding could be better. Staff are always friendly and there was no problems with bringing back a different lady every night!
Guest Friendly policy reply by La Isla Bonita Resort: “Thank you for your email, yes you can bring guest to your room but for safety reason, they have to registered here and present Identification card.”
La Carmela de Boracay Hotel ★★★ $41 avg/night
Beachfront, Station 2, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: La Carmela is another upscale complex central with beach front location. The semi deluxe room I booked was comfortable with large bed, TV with lots of English speaking channels, mini fridge bar, shower (walk in shower with plenty of hot water), modern toilet, plus terrace or balcony according the room type. Hotel also offering a nice pool area just seconds from the beach. Several good pormotions are offered on Agoda and if you get the chance I would suggest that you snap it up.
Guest Friendly policy reply by La Carmela de Boracay Hotel: “I couldn’t get an answer from the hotel but I have stayed here quite a few times throughout the years and can assure you that bringing back girls at night is not a problem. You do need to make sure that she has some ID with her as the guard will request it and keep it until she leaves.”
Erus Suites Hotel ★★★ $52 avg/night
Sitio Ambolong, Manoc Manoc, Boracay Island, Station 3, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: The Erus Suites Hotel is not the best, as not beach front located and it takes around 5 minutes to get there, but hotel is modern and the room was colourful with a large comfortable bed, TV and fully functioning air conditioning, spacious bathroom with rainfall shower. The breakfast was nice too and the staff very friendly and helpful. Downside is it is next to the main road, so I could hear street noise in my room, so if you are annoyed by noise this could be an issue. There is not a huge price difference it is worth opting for the superior deluxe as it is much more luxurious offering more facilities.
Guest Friendly policy reply by The Erus Suites Hotel: “Yes, we allow unregistered guests come with you as long as you pay the room for 2. Our security guard on duty will collect their ID before entering the hotel.”
One Crescent Place Hotel ★★★ $74 avg/night
Balabag, Station 1, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: The One Crescent Place Hotel is a lovely new hotel conveniently located 220 meters about 3 – 5 minutes walk from White beach on a very quiet street. The rooms are modern, well designed and immaculately clean. Great quality bed, cable TV, DVD player, air conditioning, refridgerator, coffee and tea making facilities, free WiFi and a good hot/cold shower. With a wide selection of dining options in close proximity to the hotel plus a great balcony or terrace, a perfect place for enjoying a quiet drink in the evening.
Guest Friendly policy reply by The One Crescent Place Hotel: “Yes Sir, it’s OK to bring a joiner to the hotel to stay in your room without charge. Our room rate are for two persons. There will be no additional charge only if you don’t exceed the room occupancy. If you bring two in your room, you will pay for the 3rd person. Deluxe room can only accommodate two persons. Best regards, Dian Mahinay.”
Nigi Nigi Nu Noos Beach Resort ★★ $76 avg/night
Boracay Island, Boracay Beach, Station 2, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: The Nigis located right in the heart of all the action is an institution in Boracay, one of the oldest hotels still in business on the island. Set on White beach, all the rooms are very private and quiet surrounded by Balinese style tropical gardens which add to the feeling of tranquility. While built in native bungalow style the rooms have everything that you could need : air conditioning, TV, refridgerator, comfortable bed, lots of space and bathroom with great shower. The restaurant also offers great quality food and the beach bar is one of the best. This is a hotel where you will instantly feel at home.
Guest Friendly policy reply by The Nigi Nigi Nu Noos Beach Resort: “If you booked only one person and you want to have an additional one person overnight then it is okay for us as all our room rates are good for two persons but they have to present their ID at the reception or to our guard on duty for security purposes. Nirvana Beach Resort ★★★ $87 avg/night
0212 Balabag Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, Station 2, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: While The Nirvana Beach Resort isn’t beach front as its name would suggest but only 5 minutes walk to White Beach (station 2), D’Mall (the largest shopping centre on the island with shops, restaurants and supermarkets) and D’Talipapa (the fresh meat and seafood market), therefore very convenient. The resort offers serviced apartment/condo and every individual unit is suitable for up to 4 people. Fully furnished with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen in the corner, dining area, 2 bathrooms with toilets and showers and a big veranda. Great place for sharing with a buddy where you can bring back girls at night and still being able to have the privacy of your own room at the end of the night. The Nirvana Beach Resort also has a small swimming pool and bar. Only minor disappointments were that the WiFi signal was low at times and the water pressure not so good, but all in all a very nice place to stay.
Guest Friendly policy reply by The Nirvana Beach Resort: “Good Morning, Each of our units are good for up to 4 guests (included in the room price). Our policy is to register anyone who overnights at the resort. Thanks & Brgds, Trond.”
Henann Garden Resort ★★★★★ $97 avg/night
Barangay Balabag, Station 2, Boracay Island, Philippines
Location: The Henann Garden Resort (formerly Boracay Garden Hotel) is a large hotel set in the busy commercial area of white beach with lots of bars, restaurants and convenience stores on hand. My room was large and clean with a king sized bed, single bed, sofa, TV, desk and table and lot of space. The bathroom was also large with both shower and bath. With a good swimming area with three large pools and a childs pool, this hotel is a favourite amongst the South Koreans whom they seem to cater for. The only downside was that there was not free WiFi in my room and it was charged at 100 Pesos per hour. Excellent service and helpful staff.
Guest Friendly policy reply by The Henann Garden Resort: “Thank you for your email, with reference to your inquiry, Our in house guests are allowed to bring unregistered guest without any additional charge or joiner’s fee. Our resort’s policy is only to get an ID of the joiner (to be returned upon checking out).”
